Since my trip to Statesboro, I spent my weekend in Atlanta at Georgia State University and also stopped by Georgia Tech as well. On Friday I went and saw the movie "Julie and Julia" with some of the Theta Beta girls... it was SO GOOD! I love movies :-) Saturday and Sunday I was at their Recruitment Retreat all day- but it was still a lot of fun to get to know the girls there. They did a great job! Saturday night we played an intense game of Taboo-- Amy and I dominated!
Phi Mu pretty much dominates the state of Georgia, if you haven't already noticed! Today I arrived in Athens, at UGA! Go Dawgs! Just kidding.... I'm still a Vol fan :-)
So.... I got hit on for the 1st time today since I've started traveling . Don't get too excited, he is old, divorced with kids, works for AT&T-- yeah I heard his life story. Anything else you want to know about him, just ask- cause I'm sure he told me. Got asked out to dinner, which I politely declined, and gave me his phone #-- because he said if I gave him mine he would have a hard time leaving me alone. Ahh! What? Why in the world would you tell someone that? And seriously, did he think he even stood a chance? I am 22 years old!!!!!! Good grief. I think he is older than my parents. WEIRD. Anyways--- if this ever happens again, hopefully the guy will at least be UNDER 30- and not be creepy, of coarse. Is that so much to ask?!?
Well, enough about that. I am so pumped to be in Athens. I hear it is a great town! I've never been here before, so I am hoping to scope out the town tonight. I just have a few meetings and dinner to attend, so I should have some time to myself- which will be great! I can't wait for Wednesday when Recruitment starts here, I have never seen a BIG Recruitment like this before! Hopefully I'll get some good ideas to take to Carolina as well.
More later........ KM
